An evening with Stoppard & Fitzgerald
By Village News Team
A double bill of one-act plays from two very different masters of the form.
Porcelain and Pink by F. Scott Fitzgerald, directed by Elizabeth Harding, is a witty case of mistaken identity in which the main character spends the entire play in a bathtub.
The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard, directed by Jack Harding, is a mad-cap, whodunnit play-within-a-play that promises laughter, three murders, and twists and turns galore.
Together they made for an unusual evening at the village hall — two short plays, two contrasting voices, and one bathtub.
Performed by Exeter Drama Company on 26th–28th September 2024.
