The Wind in the Willows
This adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s classic follows the arrogant Toad of Toad Hall, whose constant pursuit of new fads and hobbies — funded by his family wealth — keeps his devoted friends constantly concerned. Toad’s closest friends Badger, Rat, and his newest friend Mole are forever trying to keep a rein on Toad in the hope of protecting his dignity. The story explores friendship, redemption, and the consequences of reckless behaviour, with familiar songs and seasonal warmth.
The Wind in the Willows, adapted by John Morley from Kenneth Grahame’s novel, directed by Miles Clayton-Foster, ran for three nights at the village hall.
Performed by Exeter Drama Company on 7th–9th December 2023.
